Queering the Pitch in Armenia
Queer League Armenia is a newly-founded initiative by a group of Queer activists in Armenia who came together in 2017 with a clear aim of empowering LGBTQ+ individuals with Sports and healthy lifestyle.
As a quite young initiative we would like to bring a new breath into queering community of Armenia through Sports, peer-to-peer learning and physical recreation.
We believe Sports will serve as a powerful tool for LGBTQ+ community building and organizing. It can mobilize and unite LGBTQ+ young people from all different backgrounds around a common goal serving as a focal point for engagement, pride and achievement.

Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. Sport can awaken hope where there was previously only despair. Sport speaks to people in a language they can understand.
